Community Outreach Workshop on MODIS Vegetation Variables (VI/LAI/FPAR/NPP)

The MODIS Land team will be convening a workshop open to the at-large science community interested in MODIS vegetation variables (VI/LAI/FPAR/NPP). This suite of variables was chosen by NASA to meet the scientific needs for terrestrial biospheric measurements for the Earth Science Enterprise. The workshop will focus on year 2001 results and validation, and user issues. The workshop will include details about data availability and ordering, data quality, formats, validation status, software tools, documents, answers to frequently asked questions and tutorials.
