The Terra ASTER Level 1 Precision Terrain Corrected Registered At-Sensor Radiance (AST_L1T) Version 3.1 ancillary files, which are produced as part of the L1T on-demand collection, have been updated to include browse images. This addition includes a browse image in Hierarchical Data Format - Earth Observing System (HDF-EOS) and georeferenced full resolution Visible and Near Infrared (VNIR) and Thermal Infrared (TIR) browse images in Georeferenced Tagged Image File Format (GeoTIFF). The number of browse images and the band combinations of the images depends on the bands available in the corresponding AST_L1A granule used to generate the on-demand product. The new ASTER L1T V3.1 data product also includes a metadata (.met) file for each of the browse images produced.
