8mm tape distribution discontinued as of Wednesday, March 30, 2005

As of March 30, 2005, the Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) discontinued 8mm tapes as a media option for ASTER and MODIS data products. The 8mm tape media option was removed from the EOS Data Gateway (EDG) and the Data Pool on March 30, 2005. The following media options are still available: CD-ROM, DVD, and DLT. FTP will also be available.
