Release of NASA MEaSUREs CAMEL 5 km V2 Products

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Combined ASTER and MODIS Emissivity for Land (CAMEL) Version 2 (V2) product suite. This product suite focuses on updates that more accurately characterize partially snowy scenes and replaces the CAMEL V1 products which are no longer available.

The CAMEL collection was derived by combining the University of Wisconsin-Madison MODIS Infrared Emissivity dataset (UWIREMIS) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory ASTER Global Emissivity Dataset Version 4 (GEDv4) and is fundamental for balancing the Earth's surface energy and radiation budget as well as monitoring land cover and land use change.

A citation containing the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each of the CAMEL V2 datasets is provided below.
