The Aqua spacecraft transitioned to Earth point safe mode on 03/31/22 at 090/17:59:08z. As a result, MODIS is in safe mode and no science data are being produced. The cause of the anomaly is under investigation and the exact timeline of the recovery plan will be posted when available.
An update on the data recovery will be announced via news announcements on the LP DAAC website. Subscribe to the LP DAAC’s listserv by sending a blank email to lpdaac-join@lists.nasa.gov to receive listserv messages from the LP DAAC regarding recent updates.
