LP DAAC has updated ASTER Level-1 processing software with the geometric correction database version 3.02, which was generated by ASTER Team affiliates in the Earth Remote Sensing Division (formerly ERSDAC) of Japan Space Systems. This update improves geolocation in ASTER TIR night observations. Use of this improvement in LP DAAC data production commenced on May 9, 2012. For additional details, refer to the "Correction of Nighttime TIR Geolocation Values" fact sheet, and the comments from the Earth Remote Sensing Division in item 4 of Section 9.
