Data inputs for the Terra and Aqua combined MCD64A1 Version 6 Burned Area data product were impacted by the Aqua MODIS science data outage on August 16 through September 2, 2020. MCD64A1 utilizes data acquired from the months directly preceding and following the product calendar month. Forward processing as of July is on hold while the quality of the data received by the various Direct Broadband (DB) stations during the Aqua Formatter-Multiplexer Unit (FMU) anomaly period are evaluated for availability and usability.
