USGS EarthExplorer recently posted a notice stating that USGS EROS would no longer acquire Sentinel-2 data as of October 19, 2022. The USGS Sentinel-2 archive will be available for download until November 18, 2022, after which, the data will be removed from the archive and will no longer be offered for download via EarthExplorer.
The HLS Sentinel-2 Multi-spectral Instrument Surface Reflectance Daily Global (HLSS30) version 2 data product will remain available at the LP DAAC. New Sentinel-2 data acquisitions will continue to be processed as HLSS30 and archived at LP DAAC. HLSS30 is available for distribution via NASA’s Earthdata Search and provides users with an alternate source for Sentinel-2 data.
