The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the Terra and Aqua combined Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Version 6.1 Land Cover Dynamics data product. The MCD12Q2 V6.1 data product provides global land surface phenology metrics at 500 meters spatial resolution in yearly intervals from 2001 to 2020. Improvements to the MCD12Q2 V6.1 data product include a better approach to snow filtering and improved latency for product generation.
