MODIS began processing Terra, Aqua, and Combined data acquisitions from January 1, 2007 onward as new V005 products. MODIS V004 production ended December 31, 2006.
MODIS V004 Collections: The V004 collections will remain publicly available during the V005 production campaign.
MODIS V005 Historical Production: Historical acquisitions of MODIS data are being reprocessed as V005 products, eventually replacing the entire V004 record. Terra and Combined products are currently in the reprocessing stream, which progresses chronologically through the MODIS mission starting in February 2000. As production moves into July 2002 acquisitions, historical Aqua data will also be reprocessed.
MODIS V005 Current Production: All data acquisitions from January 1, 2007 forward are being processed as V005 products. Terra and Combined current V005 data are immediately available, having already been released as historical collections. The Aqua V005 will be released as they are produced.
