LP DAAC released the NASA SRTM Global 1 arc second dataset (SRTMGL1) over the remaining tiles covering the Middle East on August 7, 2015. This coincides with the newly processed Middle East area released by the USGS on August 6, 2015.
The NASA Version 3 SRTM Global 1 arc second are void filled using elevation data from ASTER GDEM2 and USGS GMTED 2010 (USGS National Elevation Dataset (NED)). For detailed information regarding SRTM please see the SRTM User Guide.
The NASA SRTMGL1 coverage is now considered complete.
