Release of ASTER Data Acquisition Request (DAR) Tool Version 3.0

Version 3.0 of the ASTER DAR Tool has been released. New features include the following:

• The DAR Tool now has its own website, where it previously was embedded within the LP DAAC website.
• Account login capability that utilizes NASA Earthdata authentication is now available directly on the DAR Tool website.
• Updated User Guide and Release Notes.

If ASTER data are not available in an area of interest, the satellite sensor can be tasked to attempt to capture the area by submitting a DAR through the DAR Tool. Users must apply in order to place a DAR and additional details are available from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory ASTER web page.
