Release of MODIS Version 6 Net Evapotranspiration, GPP, and NPP Gap-Filled Products

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of Gap-Filled Terra and Aqua Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) Net Evapotranspiration, Gross Primary Productivity (GPP), and Net Primary Production (NPP) products. These data products are derived at the end of each year when the entire yearly 8-day Leaf Area Index and Fraction of Photosynthetically Active Radiation (LAI/FPAR) products are available. The improved gap-filled products have cleaned up the poor-quality inputs from MOD15A2H and MYD15A2H LAI/FPAR based on the quality control label for every pixel. The 8-day and yearly Net Evapotranspiration, GPP, and NPP products are produced annually to provide gap-filled global data products at 500 meter pixel resolution. These collections will continue to grow as data are produced chronologically. MODIS Version 6 forward processing will begin after the historical processing has completed.
