Author's Note: 2/14/2024 The GEOLST4KHR Version 1 dataset has since been decommissioned. Users are now encourage to use the GEOLST4KHR Version 2 dataset: https://doi.org/10.5067/MEaSUREs/LSTE/GEOLST4KHR.002

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) GEOLST4KHR swath product. This data provides per-pixel Land Surface Temperature (LST) derived from the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite (GOES) satellite data record at a spatial resolution of 4 kilometers for North and South America. GEOLST4KHR was produced daily in hourly increments for 2000 to 2016 utilizing data from GOES-8 and GOES-10 through 15. Included in this product are layers for cloud mask, latitude, longitude, land surface temperature, and land surface error.

A citation containing the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for the dataset is provided below.
