The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Global Forest Cover Change (GFCC) product suite. This product suite includes global data records of Surface Reflectance, Tree Cover, Water Cover, and Forest Cover Change at a spatial resolution of 30 meters.
The GFCC collection was derived from enhanced Landsat Global Land Survey (GLS) datasets for epochs centered on the years 1990, 2000, 2005, and 2010. Landsat data resolutions are intrinsic for detecting land cover changes over time due to the fine scale of changes, and in particular, those resulting from anthropogenic factors.
