The LP DAAC is pleased to announce the availability of the Global Ecosystem Dynamics Investigation (GEDI) Version 2 Level 1B Geolocated Waveform Data, Level 2A Elevation and Height Metrics Data, and Level 2B Canopy Cover and Vertical Profile Metrics Data for October 17, 2019 through April 15, 2020.

The Accessing and Analyzing GEDI LIDAR Data for Vegetation Studies video was presented as a part of a NASA ARSET LIDAR and SIF training series in Spring 2021. This session summarizes where and how GEDI LIDAR data can be accessed, followed by a demonstration showing participants how to open, interpret, and analyze GEDI data for assessments of vegetation structure.
The GEDI Spatial Querying and Subsetting Quick Guide provides instructions on finding granules for a region of interest and performing spatial and/or layer subsetting of GEDI sub-orbit granules in NASA’s Earthdata Search.
