The MODIS Science team informed us that they have recently identified certain Terra MODIS L2 land surface reflectance granules that contain severe striping in high reflectance values, which are retrieved in alternate scans of 10 Kms. This effect is traceable to the striping present in band-3 of the L1B (MOD02IKM) product, which is used to retrieve the aerosol optical thickness in the surface reflectance.
