United States Geological Survey (USGS) Landsat Analysis Ready Data (ARD) is a revolutionary new product that will make the Landsat archive more accessible, easier to analyze, and reduce the amount of time users spend on data processing for time-series analysis. Landsat ARD are derived from Landsat Collections Level-1 precision and terrain-corrected scenes which are then processed and arranged in geospatially calibrated tiles and dense temporal stacks for immediate use in monitoring and assessing landscape change.

The following Landsat Collection 1 Level-1 products serve as input for generating all Landsat ARD products:

  • Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager (OLI)/ Thermal Infrared Sensor (TIRS)
  • Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper Plus (ETM+)
  • Landsat 4-5 Thematic Mapper (TM)

USGS Landsat ARD tiles for the conterminous United States, Alaska, and Hawaii (shortname Landsat4-8_ARD_US_C1) are now accessible through NASA’s Earthdata Search.

For Landsat ARD documentation and other useful resources please visit theLandsat ARD webpage.

Download of the data also requires the USGS ERS login credentials.
