This is a LEGACY RESOURCE. It is no longer maintained but is usable with minor adjustments. This resource leverages NASA's Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis-Ready Samples (AppEEARS). AppEEARS has been deployed in NASA's Earthdata Cloud space. You can access AppEEARS using the new link: https://appeears.earthdatacloud.nasa.gov/. For up to date information on using the AppEEARS API and examples, please see the AppEEARS API Documentation. If you have questions, please contact LP DAAC User Services (lpdaac@usgs.gov).

This webinar gives an introduction to the LP DAAC, the Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AρρEEARS), and Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) data products. The webinar includes a live walk through of how to submit an AρρEEARS request for SMAP data, using an example use case focused on monitoring soil moisture over rangelands in Arizona. This webinar was presented to staff from the United States Forest Service (USFS) and United States Department of Agriculture Natural Resources Conservation Service (USDA NRCS) in Arizona. The webinar slides and recording are available at the links provided above.
