By: LP DAAC

The LP DAAC will have an extended preventative maintenance (PM) period starting on December 6, 2023, at 7:00 a.m. Central Standard Time (CST). A list of impacts to users and estimated timelines are below.

  • Unavailable or offline on December 6, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m CST.
    • The LP DAAC on-premises archive (i.e., Data Pool) will be unavailable during this time. After 12:00 p.m. on December 6, data will once again be available for download from the LP DAAC Data Pool. This does not affect cloud data assets which will remain available during the PM.
  • Unavailable or offline from December 6, at 7:00 a.m. CST, through the end of December 7, 2023
    • ASTER orders will be unavailable.
    • Data ingest into the on-premises archive (i.e., Data Pool) will be offline. New data will not be ingested into the Data Pool. Data downloads of data already in the archive will be available.

All LP DAAC products, tools, and services available from NASA’s Earthdata Cloud will be unaffected by the downtime. Thank you for your patience during this extended downtime. We offer our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.
