By: LP DAAC

The LP DAAC is excited to announce the integration of Landsat 9 data into the Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 Operational Land Imager Surface Reflectance and TOA Brightness Daily Global 30m (HLSL30) data product. Data processed for the HLSL30 data product from May 17, 2022, onward will include both Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 observations. Over the next couple of months Landsat 9 data acquired from January 1 through May 17 will be processed and added to the HLSL30 data holdings. With the addition of Landsat 9 data, there will now be four instruments included in the HLS virtual constellation Landsat 8/9 and Sentinel-2A/B. These instruments allow for 30 meter land surface observations every 2-3 days when the HLSS30 and HLSL30 data products are used together.

The data are available for download through NASA’s Earthdata Search.
