MODIS and VIIRS Forward Processing Resumes

NASA's MODIS Adaptive Processing System (MODAPS) has restored operations following the system wide backend issue that affected processing for all MODIS and VIIRS data products on July 21, 2023. Forward processing of MODIS and VIIRS data products started back up on Wednesday, August 2, 2023. Operations are slowly ramping up and processing streams will resume gradually. Once operations have been fully restored, data products for July 21 through August 1, 2023, will be processed then will gradually catch up to the leading edge.

Note: Harmonized Landsat Sentinel-2 (HLS) and Observational Products for End-Users from Remote Sensing Analysis (OPERA) Land Surface Disturbance Alert forward processing will restart forward processing as soon as MODIS and VIIRS input data products become available.
