The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) decommissioned the Terra MODIS Version 5.5 Net Primary Production Yearly L4 Global 1 km SIN Grid (MOD17A3) data product on April 6, 2020. This annual product is no longer distributed by the LP DAAC or available for download from NASA’s Earthdata Search, Data Pool, or AppEEARS.
The improved MODIS Version 6 Gap-Filled dataset at 500 m spatial resolution has been available since November 2019, allowing the MODIS community to transition from the Version 5.5 product over that time.
