NASA Earthdata’s User Profile series recently featured Dr. David Thoma, an ecologist with the National Park Service's Inventory and Monitoring Program and a member of the LP DAAC User Working Group. Dr. Thoma uses Terra MODIS Vegetation Indices data, accessed using Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS), in his research to investigate how natural resources are impacted and respond to weather and climate change in several national parks in the Greater Yellowstone area.
