NASA Earthdata's User Profile series recently featured Dr. Karen Seto, the Associate Dean of Research, Director of the Seto Lab, and Professor of Geography and Urbanization Science for the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies at Yale University. Dr. Seto uses NASA Earth science data to study the impacts urbanization have on global environments with an emphasis on India and China. Her findings suggest that fragile land in these countries once dominated by agriculture activity are quickly urbanizing, thus increasing the human vulnerability to climate change.
