An Introduction to the AppEEARS Point Sampler

Details:

Published: Dec. 21, 2018

This short video provides a quick demonstration of the Point Sampler using the Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AρρEEARS). AppEEARS provides a simple and efficient way to subset, transform, and visualize geospatial data distributed from a variety of federal archives.

The following topics are discussed in the video: how to submit a Point Sample request, how to visualize the request output, and how to download the output data.

AppEEARS can be accessed by visiting https://appeears.earthdatacloud.nasa.gov/. AppEEARS is hosted by the NASA Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC), one of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Earth Observing System Data and Information System (EOSDIS) DAACs. It operates as a partnership with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
