Version 3.65 of the Application for Extracting and Exploring Analysis Ready Samples (AppEEARS) has been released. This release includes a partial bug fix addressing issues with area samples whose source data use the UTM projection. The identified bugs could potentially result in missing data or unexpected erroneous GeoTIFF and NetCDF-4 outputs for ECOSTRESS Tiled and HLS data products. Notably, the issue resulting in erroneous outputs were introduced as a side effect in the version 3.50 release on April 2, 2024.
This release resolves the issue for GeoTIFF outputs but not for NetCDF4 outputs. Although the bugs only impact area samples under specific scenarios, we highly recommend evaluating your area samples that include these collections or resubmitting them to ensure you obtain accurate data. The AppEEARS Team is working on resolving the issue for NetCDF4 outputs, and those will be included in the next release.
