Due to the non-availability of NOAA's ozone daily product, the forward production of the TERRA and AQUA surface reflectance and its downstream products is on hold. The surface reflectance code (PGE11) has been modified to use EPTOMS and/or NCEP's ozone. At this time, only NCEP data is available due to problems with the TOMS ozone operational software.
PGE11 is expected to be ready for production early-mid next week, at which time the forward production will resume. Assuming a restart date of 5/11, the forward stream will be 22 days behind real time. It will take MODAPS about 45 days to fill the gap. The current plan is to fill the gap in TERRA and then move to AQUA and combined products.
