Release of ECOSTRESS USDA ET and ESI Products

August 01, 2019
By: LP DAAC

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the ECOsystem Spaceborne Thermal Radiometer Experiment on Space Station (ECOSTRESS) United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Level 3 Evapotranspiration (ET) and Level 4 Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) data products at a spatial resolution of 30 meters. These data products are generated by USDA using the Atmosphere Land Exchange Inverse (ALEXI) Disaggregation algorithm (disALEXI) in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

Attached to the International Space Station (ISS), ECOSTRESS measures the Earth's surface temperature to better understand how much water is used by plants. More information on ECOSTRESS can be found on the ECOSTRESS website.

A citation containing the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) for each dataset is provided below.
