By: LP DAAC

The Land Processes Distributed Active Archive Center (LP DAAC) is pleased to announce the availability of the NASA Making Earth System Data Records for Use in Research Environments (MEaSUREs) Combined ASTER and MODIS Emissivity for Land (CAMEL) product suite. This product suite includes monthly global data records of Emissivity, Uncertainty and Principal Components Analysis (PCA) Coefficients at 5 kilometer resolution for years 2003 to 2015.

The CAMEL collection was derived by combining the University of Wisconsin-Madison MODIS Infrared Emissivity datasett (UWIREMIS) and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory ASTER Global Emissivity Dataset Version 4 (GEDv4) and is fundamental for balancing the Earth's surface energy and radiation budget as well as monitoring land cover and land use change.

More information about the data products can be found using the links below.

Combined ASTER and MODIS Emissivity for Land (CAMEL) Emissivity Monthly Global 0.05 Deg V001 - CAM5K30EM.001
Combined ASTER and MODIS Emissivity for Land (CAMEL) Uncertainty Monthly Global 0.05 Deg V001 - CAM5K30UC.001
Combined ASTER and MODIS Emissivity for Land (CAMEL) Coefficient Monthly Global 0.05 Deg V001 - CAM5K30CF.001

The data are available for download through DAAC2Disk, Data Pool, and Earthdata Search.
