Included in the latest release of AppEEARS (2.0.1) is a new feature that allows users to download summary statistics for their requested data using the Area Sampler.The summary statistics are delivered as files in comma separated value (csv) format, separated by data product. Statistics provided for continuous data layers include count, range, mean, median, standard deviation, and variance. Statistics for categorical data and quality layers are provided as frequency distributions. The output .csv files are grouped by area feature and acquisition or composite date. Access AppEEARS here.

AρρEEARS offers users a simple and efficient way to perform data access and transformation processes by enabling users to download only the data they need. AρρEEARS provides access to a wide range of environmental variables derived from sources such as Terra and Aqua Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) data as well as population variables from the Gridded Population of the World (GPW) Version 4 collection.
